Product selection

Our product selection includes about 25 000 products: fresh produce, frozen foods, processed foodstuffs, non-food products, and alcoholic beverages (for our HoReCa customers). Our key competitive advantage is our flexible purchasing chain, which allows us to provide our customers with new and special products quickly and also take regional needs into account.

Our product selection experts work closely with our partners to find the best solution for our customers. The construction of the product selection starts from our customers' wishes, needs and user experiences. Procurement and logistics processes will be moved to our own management in 2018 when our new logistics center will gradually start operating in Vantaa Viinikkala.

We are focusing more and more on the development of our own import business and on developing our Own Brand product selection. We are looking for new partners, both home and abroad, to complement our network of 700 suppliers, so that we can meet the expectations of our customers also in the future.

Wihuri's Metro wholesale own import – Our product selection includes flavours from all around the world, from basic ingredients to specialities. Our own import products include Bridor, Tragano, Werners Gourmet Service and Jeden Tag. Our own import allows us to adapt quickly to changing food trends and the supply of customer-specific special products.

Our own Metro product line – Good quality and affordable products for everyday HoReCa use. Wihuri's Metro wholesale is responsible for the product development of the line, together with HoReCa professionals and suppliers.
