Sami Lensu, System Support Specialist
Sami enjoys customer service where problems are solved
– I became a System Support Specialist in February 2018. My main job is to provide assistance with any disruptions in the point-of-sale systems of our Cash & Carries and in the order and delivery sales so that transactions would run smoothly all the time.
Sami began working at the Metro Cash & Carry in Lappeenranta in 2015, and became familiar with the daily routines of order and delivery sales at Wihuri's Metro wholesale over the course of three years. The years have taken Sami, who holds a Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration, from Lappeenranta to Lahti for preliminary training and then via the Metro wholesale in Pitäjämäki to the head office in Viinikkala, Vantaa.
We at Wihuri Group have a six-month transfer agreement, which allows employees to change jobs flexibly. The transfer agreement allows employees to return to their previous job if the new job does not meet their expectations. Supervisors can similarly assess the development of employee competence.
– I have a wide range of responsibilities with just the right combination of old and new. It is great that I can combine my previous work experience and my passion for customer service with problem solving in my day-to-day work, says Sami.
Riitta Hirvi, Key Account Manager
Riitta wants to think and act in a customer-oriented way.
We at Metro wholesale always enjoy promoting motivated talent to new tasks. Riitta started out as a Cash & Carry Manager in Kokkola and later became a Key Account Manager. Her main responsibility is to take good care of our foodservice customers at Kokkola, Oulu and Kajaani areas. Some of her chief ambitions are to improve the awareness of Wihuri's Metro wholesale in the region and to boost sales and profitability.
– The factors underlying the success of our company are its good delivery reliability and the services that produce added value, which our own logistics center can provide, says Riitta
Wihuri's Metro wholesale provides a competitive salary, occupational health care, and good employee benefits.
